About Culinary Affairs Catering

Culinary Affairs TeamWe would start off by paying homage to the wonderful Diane Schmoll, the original founder of Culinary Affairs. Diane started Culinary Affairs over 20 years ago because of a strong passion for food and customer service. She began by offering her unique baked goods at small craft shows. Shortly after, Diane got the attention of a few executive administrators who asked if she would ever consider doing corporate catering.  This gave her the opportunity to grow the business and add equally passionate and caring people.

Stevie Howat started working for Culinary Affairs 10 years ago. What started as a part-time job during college quickly became a passion. With Diane as her mentor, she has learned every facet of the business, from washing dishes and taking out the trash to creating custom menus and running large-scale events

Chef Rusty Thompson started with Culinary Affairs years 3 ago, bringing to the table 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 10 years in advanced culinary fields. Rusty’s creativity offers innovative menus, along with a wide array of cuisines, opening up Culinary Affairs to new opportunities.

Jereme Stone purchased Culinary Affairs from Diane on September 1st 2014. At that time, Jereme Stone had been the Sysco Foods Marketing Associate for Culinary Affairs for about 3 years. Over those 3 years, Diane and Jereme had become good friends as well as business associates.  When the time came for Diane to make a change, she sat down with Jereme to let him know that she was ready to retire. To Diane’s surprise, Jereme then asked Diane if she would consider selling the business to him. With little deliberation, Diane said yes, knowing that this would be a great fit considering the working relationship already in place.

On September 1st 2014 Culinary Affairs became Culinary Affairs Catering, LLC with the help of Stevie Howat as General Manager and Rusty Thompson as head chef. Culinary Affairs Catering will continue to move forward with the same love and attention to detail it did as Culinary Affairs. We look forward to serving you only the best quality made to order foods and the best customer service possible.
